>>Source Code Pro (2012)
Source Code Pro is a set of monospaced OpenType fonts designed to work well in `F33f`_`[coding`:/page/wikibook/entry.mu`zim=wikipedia_en_all_nopic_2025-08.zim|entry_path=Computer_programming]`_`f environments. This family of fonts complements the `F33f`_`[Source Sans`:/page/wikibook/entry.mu`zim=wikipedia_en_all_nopic_2025-08.zim|entry_path=Source_Sans_Pro]`_`f family and is available in seven weights: Extralight, Light, Regular, Medium, Semibold, Bold, Black.
Changes from Source Sans Pro include:`:cite-ref-typekitblog-1-1[`F5bf`_`[1`#cite-note-typekitblog-1]`_`f]
• Long x-height
• `F33f`_`[Dotted zero`:/page/wikibook/entry.mu`zim=wikipedia_en_all_nopic_2025-08.zim|entry_path=Dotted_zero]`_`f
• Redesigned i, j, and l
• Increased sizes of punctuation marks
• Optimized shapes of important characters like the greater- and less-than signs
• Adjusted heights of dashes and mathematical symbols improving alignment with each other
The font has been regularly upgraded since its first release. Italics styles were added in 2015, and `F33f`_`[variable`:/page/wikibook/entry.mu`zim=wikipedia_en_all_nopic_2025-08.zim|entry_path=Variable_fonts]`_`f formats were introduced in 2018.`:cite-ref-2[`F5bf`_`[2`#cite-note-2]`_`f]
